“Stop Trying To Control What's Not In My Control.”

So, what exactly is NOT in my control?? A lot of things and people are not in my control. The only thing I have control over is ME, MYSELF & I.
The ways I choose to react and respond ARE in my control. I have no control over someone being rude, disrespectful or mean. When I give into anger (nothing wrong with being angry…) and express it the “wrong way” (sinful ways), I am literally giving my power over to the person who offended me. I am to be guardian over my heart. The Word of God tells us to Guard Our Hearts. One of my favorite verses is “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” —Proverbs 4:23
As I write this, I can honestly tell you that I am coming out and UP from another setback. Yes, WE ALL HAVE THOSE. aka… Relapse. When we do fall, we must do everything in our power to get back up and in line with God’s will. You can never go wrong with Praise and Worship. Let’s face it… the devil hates it and GOD LOVES IT.
Tools that are helping me get well in my soul:
ACKNOWLEDGING THE WOUND TOOK PLACE, GIVE MY PAIN A VOICE, FORGO MY RIGHT TO TAKE REVENGE & HOLD A RECORD, STOP REPEATING THE STORY, WATCH MY WORDS OR I WILL SIN TOO, WHEN THE OFFENDERS OF MY SOUL START CREEPING IN (ANGER, CRITICISM, FEAR, RESENTMENT, BITTERNESS) PAY ATTENTION, CONFESS, REPENT, GET BACK UP, I MUST HAVE AN OUTLET.
Bottom line: many things are a job for the Holy Spirit. We are not the Holy Spirit. Be slow to speak and slow to anger. In anger, do not sin. Take back your power by not giving your power away! Give God your Open and Broken Heart for Him to heal.
Now, let us go out and represent the love of God. When we fail, go and make it right and remember, protect your heart!
